Addison, IL Criminal Defense Attorneys

Criminal Defense Lawyers Serving DuPage, Cook, and Surrounding Counties

Addison Illinois criminal defense lawyers

When the chips are down, and the stakes are high, there is no substitute for experience. Make no mistake about it, in any criminal case, the stakes are extremely high for both you and your family. However, experience alone is not enough. You also need an aggressive lawyer who stands up for your individual rights and understands that the prosecutor's only goal is to obtain a conviction by any available means.

The passionate lawyers at Stringini & Garvey, P.C. add over 65 years of combined experience to a very assertive posture. We are devoted to criminal defense, which is why we focus most of our practice to this important area. Our goal is to be your attorneys and counselors at the moment of your greatest need.

Our Approach to Criminal Law

A successful defense beings early and ends late. We start by learning about your situation and your goals in a particular matter. Then, we conduct a comprehensive case review, which includes all the facts, both positive and negative ones. Next, we tap into our vast online library to apply the law to the facts. Then, once we determine a course of action together, we aggressively stand up for your interests to generate the best possible result under the circumstances.

The vast majority of criminal cases (over 90 percent in most jurisdictions) are resolved through a plea bargain agreement. For example, a second DUI, which is a non-probation offense, can often be reduced to a reckless driving charge.

Some attorneys hesitate to take criminal cases to trial, but we never do. In fact, we prepare every single case assuming that it will be tried before a judge or a jury. This approach has served us well, as we have an established track record of successful defenses. Bear in mind that "success" has many different meanings, and we embrace each one of them.

We also handle post-trial and ancillary matters, such expungement proceedings and probation violations.

Our Services in Illinois

Much of our focus is on DUI and traffic law matters. The financial costs of a drunk driving conviction are enormous, not to mention the possible incarceration and probable drivers' license suspension. We are a strong voice for you in all these situations. Traffic tickets are costly as well, especially when considering the increased insurance rates and other secondary costs.

In addition to these cases, we handle a wide array of other criminal matters, including:

Although we practice cases mainly in DuPage County, we also represent defendants throughout the entire Chicagoland area. For prompt and professional assistance with a criminal defense matter, contact Stringini & Garvey, P.C. at 630-834-9595. Se habla Español.
